ABOUT US
Woder, a not-for-profit global organisation, aspires to understand the complex water systems through scientific research in order to seek holistic approach towards finding water solutions for the communities in distress. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goal 6 set by the United Nations and the interlinked other 16 SDGs, Woder is committed the access to clean, safe and affordable water for the immediate needs and further innovative, eco-friendly and sustainable solutions for the long term sustainability of water resources for the survival of the humanity and biodiversity on the planet. Woder is also committed to raise the awareness and awakening towards water conservation and management.
Woder is registered in the United Kingdom as a not-for-profit entity regulated by the community interest companies regulator.
Woder, rhyming with water, stands for ‘water of the distressed environment research and rectification’.
Mission
The mission of woder is to contribute towards ending the world water crisis, protecting humanity from the rising disasters, building resilience of the vulnerable, rejuvenating water resources, and nurturing biodiversity besides, engaging in research and education, for awareness, awakening and ground action about them among the affected as well as unaffected community.
Vision
Woder believes in a world where humanity, leaving no one behind, will have access to safe and clean water for a world free of suffering from water related distresses, disasters and diseases. Woder also believes in one planet thus including biodiversity, leaving no species from life under water and life on land and in air deprived of access to water for survival. Woder is committed to sustainable life on earth.
Our Approach
- Identify water stress situations, communities facing water insecurity, and possible collaborators to facilitate water security.
- Partner with local communities to ensure last mile water security.
- Partner with global-national communities to channelise resources to the affected place and people.
- Facilitate access to safe and clean water and sanitation to the areas of intervention.
- Enhance healthcare and education in displaced settlements and where needed.
- Raise awareness on water consumption, climate change, and environmental challenges, linked to them among the haves and the have nots.
- Raise awareness and action on water epidemics including water anxiety among the haves and the have nots.
